The number you need depends on what you are calling about: the claim, an overpayment, an appeal, or the prepaid card the money lands on. WorkOne Centers are where Indiana keeps its in-person help, and an application for benefits is made online rather than across a counter.
Which number to call
1-800-891-6499 is DWD's Benefit Call Center, the line for questions about your own claim. When a claim problem surfaces at a RESEA appointment, the reemployment meeting some claimants are called into, DWD sends the question to that line instead of settling it in the room.

An overpayment has a separate line for each task, so check which one you want before you dial: 317-233-4838 is where DWD discusses a repayment agreement with a claimant who cannot repay all at once, and 888-877-0450 takes the payment itself. Review Board staff answer during normal business hours, though the board members do not speak with claimants directly.
Uplink, DWD's claims system, is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and decisions and determinations on a claim are posted there, on your homepage under Correspondence History.

What a WorkOne cannot do with your claim
An application for benefits goes through Uplink on a computer, tablet, or smartphone, and no WorkOne counter can file it for you. WorkOne offices will not accept a payment toward an overpayment either: DWD takes those at its own Indianapolis office and through the routes set out on denials, appeals, and overpayments.
